The Timber Decking and Cladding Association is an independent, not-for-profit technical and advisory body for the timber decking and timber cladding industry. The association offers expert advice and promotes best practice where both material choice and construction is concerned. A recently re-launched website provides interested visitors with ample information and advice, whilst also hosting a comprehensive approved supplier search facility, drilling down to specific components – the only resource of its type dedicated to timber decking and cladding. This same website is also a powerful tool to showcase the strengths and capabilities of the many members who offer quality timber decking and timber cladding products and/or services.

The TDCA also provides a dispute resolution service, should something go wrong. This includes a site visit from an independent expert and a full written report to highlight the findings – an excellent way to prevent a time-consuming dispute between numerous parties and to find an acceptable resolution swiftly.

The British Woodworking Federation is the trade association for the woodworking and joinery manufacturing industry in the UK. It's members include manufacturers, distributors and installers of timber doors, windows, conservatories, staircases, furniture, all forms of bespoke, interior and architectural joinery and suppliers to the industry. The Federation strives to provide the best possible service to its members and to ensure that service represents the best value for their subscription fee. Central to the BWF is our Code of Conduct, against which all members are audited. We believe this is the basis of our success in recruiting and retaining quality members. The BWF brings together individuals and companies within the industry to share problems and experiences and find solutions together. We offer regular opportunities for members to rub shoulders with their competitors and suppliers, whether formally in Federation Committees, or informally at social events.

For over 125 years, TTF members have been supplying the carpentry and joinery sectors with timber and wood products from around the world. The Federation is now the UK’s foremost membership body for the timber supply chain. Its Responsible Purchasing Policy, to which all members must adhere, is recognised for the rigorous due diligence of its annual reporting system. The Federation continues to improve its members’ standards, most recently on imported plywoods and preservative-treated timber, ensuring that IoC members and others throughout the wood supply chain are purchasing ‘Timber you can Trust’. TTF members encompass timber importers, merchants, agents and manufacturers of wood products, and account for around two-thirds of the £10 billion UK timber industry. The Federation aims to bring together those who use our products with those who product and provide them, ensuring that we work as a team to promote the use of the sustainable, renewable material which binds us all.
